The award winning reconstruction of US 285 Municipal Streets and Intersections in Antonito, CO., included correcting subgrade, removing asphalt pavement and replacing it with concrete pavement. Replacement of existing storm sewer. A 60-inch conduit that flows into a newly built retention pond was installed along 8th Avenue/County Road G. Additional enhancements to the town’s infrastructure included installation of sidewalk, curb and gutter. Parking lane improvements were also made along Main Street plus a new crosswalk for people with visual impairments at 5th Avenue.
