This City of Wheat Ridge project included 10,000 CY of excavation against Interstate-70 embankments for a retaining wall and allowing widening of the roadway, widening the current roadway with full reconstruction from a 4 lane width roadway into a 6 lane width with dual turn pockets in each direction. This had to be completed with maintaining 2 lanes of travel in each direction through unique phasing concepts.
