The second phase of the S. Broadway Reconstruction Project will begin in early April. This phase will run from Wesley Avenue to Yale Avenue. The project will include the reconstruction of the roadway in new concrete pavement, major drainage and utility upgrades, new signalization, construction of a new raised landscape median and streetscape improvements. Streetscape improvements will include a landscaped median featuring trees and native plantings, sidewalk planters, benches, and decorative street lights.

February 16, 2012:
TWork is moving along well on the west side of S. Broadway. Crews started removals at Wesley last week and they are already up to Harvard. On Monday of next week the removals at Yale will begin. We are still a couple of weeks out on the placement of the new sidewalks along the west side. That work will begin after removals are complete and after the light pole bases are installed.
The final inlet on the project, located at Yale, will be finished up next Tuesday.
