Concrete Works of Colorado crews have provided services for a variety of smaller regional airports in Colorado and Wyoming such as the Yampa Valley Regional Airport, the Jackson Hole Airport, the Rock Springs Airport, the Laramie Regional Airport, the Sheridan County Airport, the Fort Collins/Loveland Municipal Airport, and the Montrose Regional Airport.

Walker Field

In the spring of 2008, CWC began work at Walker Field in Grand Junction. That project included an all new apron area with work including subgrade stabilization with cement treated base and full-depth, 16" thick, concrete pavement. Concrete Works' new portable concrete batch plant was set up on the site in early February and we began making trial concrete batch to be used on the project.  The project was completed in June/2008.

Airport work performed by CWC typically includes the following:
• concrete panel replacements
• spall repairs
• full airport apron (airplane parking areas) reconstruction
• new airport apron paving
• runway construction
• drainage improvement
• storm sewer and inlets
• grading
• subgrade reconditioning and reconstruction
• base course material installation

The majority of all airport work typically includes full-depth concrete pavement construction ranging in thickness from 12" to 16".
