The award-winning Broadway Street and Bridge Reconstruction Project included a top to bottom reconstruction of three-quarters of a mile of utility and transportation infrastructure on this major urban arterial in Boulder, Colorado. Broadway is one of the city’s primary multi-modal transportation corridors, and the project spanned from the University of Colorado campus to historic downtown Boulder. The project included significant reconstruction of public and private utilities, replacement of the Broadway Bridge at Boulder Creek, reconstruction of the roadway to concrete pavement, and improvements to enhance all pedestrian, bicycle and transit facilities within the corridor.

The project received numerous awards including the American Public Works Association’s Project of the Year Award for Transportation Projects in the $2 Million to $10 Million Range, the American Concrete Pavement Association’s Award for Excellence in the category of Traffic Management, and the American Concrete Pavement Association’s Award for Excellence in the Category of Municipal Streets & Intersections.
