Replacing portions of Grand Avenue in the busy business district of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, presented the kind of challenge that Concrete Works of Colorado is experienced in handling. This award-winning project involved completely removing the old street, preparing the ground surface, and constructing a new concrete roadway. All of these tasks were accomplished with minimum disruption to traffic flow, minimum impact on local business activities, and all ahead of schedule.

This project was awarded the 2007 American Concrete Pavement Association’s National Award for Excellence in Concrete Pavement in the category of Municipal Streets & Intersections greater than 30,000 square yards.
