July 8, 2010
Final details are underway so this is a very short update! Median and curb/gutter work is ongoing as is planting, median irrigation, some brick paver placement, and some rock work (seat wall caps) on the seat walls. Signal work is ongoing as well and we anticipate having the final traffic signals in place at Arkansas by next Friday, 7-16-10. You’ll also see us finishing up some asphalt pavement in spots and working on tree grates on the north end next week. Things are looking good! We can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Please remember that all work is weather dependent.
Thank you for your continued patience.

The project will include the reconstruction of Broadway–from Iowa Avenue to Arizona Avenue–in new concrete pavement, major drainage and utility upgrades, new signalization, construction of a new raised landscape median and streetscape improvements. The project is anticipated to take one year.
 |
| Improvements to South Broadway will include new concrete resurfacing, a landscaped median featuring trees and wrought iron scrollwork, sidewalk planters with wrought iron accents, park benches, and decorative street lights along the tree lined blocks. |
